THE MAXCONS GAZEBO

Table of Contents

Campers often need extra space, shade or shelter, but they don’t want to pay the price of a full tent. A gazebo sometimes called a canopy or portable shade is the answer.

The popular version of gazebos is the ones you buy at general retailers. It usually has a flimsy aluminium or thin steel frame and polyester or similar type cover. Those are the gazebos that you replace every year because the cover perishes in the sun or the frame is bent after a freak wind at the dam.

A gazebo such as the Maxcon gazebo is a portable shade that campers use to provide shade and shelter in addition to their tents. It does not compete in the same price bracket and the market as picnic gazebos.

Traditionally, a gazebo is a small open building with a roof where people from the house can relax, have tea and view the garden. Camping and picnic gazebos are not that permanent. They are collapsible structures that are easy to pitch, easy to take down and easy to transport and store.

Camping gazebos

Camping gazebos are used as a short-term shelter for camping and fishing trips where it is needed for a day or at most a weekend. Lately, many campers started using gazebos as longer-term additional shelter when they camp. Gazebos became popular because they are cheaper than a full tent and can be moved where it is needed. Camping gazebos are left overnight and this requires a stronger canvas and frame to cope with unexpected winds and storms.

Max-Zebo

Maxcon Gazebos, or Max-Zebo, was designed to last as long as any tent. The aluminium-coated Riptech 300 canvas reflects the heat of the sun effectively and makes it noticeably cooler than its surroundings. It is strong enough to withstand extremely strong storm winds. The gazebo has a simple design, and at 3 x 3 (9m²) one person can easily erect it.

Popular picnic gazebos bought at any camping store are often compared to the Max-Zebo, but a visual comparison of the two products immediately shows that they are not comparable. Maxcon gazebos are manufactured for long-term use while picnic gazebos are made to use as sunshades that must be removed when bad weather approaches. Investing in a durable Maxcon gazebo will ensure that you have a gazebo that will last a lifetime. Picnic gazebos are made and priced to be replaced every year or two.

At the time of writing, a Mazcon gazebo sold for around 70% more than a standard camping or picnic gazebo, although it lasts about 10 times longer. It is not uncommon to meet campers who have been using their Maxcon Gazebos for 5 or 10 years.

When the Max-Zebo is anchored with Maxcon’s Max-Peg and Max-Guy ropes, rainwater will not collect on the roof or form puddles. The gazebo weighs 20kg which means it can be carried by one person, handles comfortably and, when folded up, is a compact and easily transportable 1,2m x 25cm x 25cm. One person can comfortably erect the gazebo.

Maxcon gazebos can be branded with company logos or any advertising.
